Description
This session will address innovative approaches to financial recovery and economic wellness for human trafficking survivors. Topics will range from legal advocacy for restitution orders and enforcement to survivor access to financial services, including barrier-free banking, credit repair, and financial planning services. The panelists will report out on the results of the Department of Justice Backpage Remission Fund and discuss other victims' compensation funds available to survivors of exploitation. Restorative justice necessarily includes compensation for losses and financial wellness. This session will creatively highlight such programs, often unknown to survivors and their advocates.
