It is a trauma-informed and victim-centered presentation that will: • break down issues related to sex trafficking victims and provide development and planning/structure for how to conduct a successful interview and understand of why these interviews are so difficult. • Enhance the interviewers abilities. • explore the trauma experienced by victims, the importance of developing trust, and understanding the effect trauma can have on victims, as well as the reactions and triggers they demonstrate during the interview process and while working with them; and • discuss the importance of multiple interviews The presentation will also cover self-care for investigators. Throughout the presentation, the instructor will utilize audience participation and provide case examples, including audio and video recordings, to illustrate the points being made.
