Description

This session introduces a practical, creative approach to strengthening survivor engagement through therapeutic film - an accessible tool grounded in trauma-informed care and storytelling. Designed for program managers, residential staff, and direct service providers, it explores how film can support healing, increase participation, and center survivor voices. Point of View Story creates fictional, perspective-driven films that reflect real-life experiences of harm and exploitation, helping viewers build awareness, process emotions, and move toward healing. Each film is paired with a structured discussion guide. Participants will view a brief film and gain practical tools to guide trauma-informed discussions and integrate therapeutic film into their programming. Attendees will leave with actionable strategies to deepen engagement and foster connection.
