Description
This program introduces the FASCETS as a framework for understanding how brain-based disabilities and trauma intersect in survivors of sexual assault and sex trafficking. Participants will learn how conditions such as FASD, TBI, and neurodevelopmental differences impact memory, communication, decision-making, and vulnerability to exploitation. The training reframes “problem behaviors” as neurobehavioral responses to environmental demands. Attendees will gain practical tools to improve interviewing, engagement, and support strategies for survivors with hidden disabilities, reducing system harm and improving outcomes across justice, healthcare, and victim services systems.
