Senator Cris Dush serves a quarter million people in the 25th Senate District, which is comprised of Cameron, Clinton, Elk, McKean, Potter and portions of Jefferson and Centre counties.
As the prime sponsor of Senate Bill 44, which was signed into law to ensure sexually exploited child human trafficking victims always have full access to necessary services and support, Sen. Dush is continuing to shepherd bipartisan, anti-human trafficking initiatives this legislative session.
As the first chairman of the Pennsylvania Anti-Human Trafficking Caucus, Cris has created the first anti-human trafficking bi-cameral, bi-partisan caucus in the nation. He created this to bring greater emphasis on the scourge of human trafficking and focus Pennsylvania on the needed legislation to fight human trafficking along with helping survivors/victims.
A retired law enforcement officer, Cris was also helped secure dedicated state budget funding to establish the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General’s Human Trafficking Section.
Prior to entering the Senate, Cris served for six years as a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
He and his wife, Traci, live in Jefferson County.
