Ashley Oramas currently serves as a Detective in the Special Investigations Section Vice/Narcotics Unit of the Altamonte Springs Police Department. The Special Investigations Section is a specialized undercover unit focusing investigative efforts on VICE related offenses involving juvenile and adult human trafficking, fatal overdoses, narcotics, prostitution, underage alcohol and gambling offenses. Prior to serving at the Altamonte Springs Police Department, she was a victim advocate for the State Attorney’s Office in the Ninth Judicial Circuit, assigned to the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation—Human Trafficking Task Force. She holds a MS in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. In January of 2026, Detective Oramas was awarded the 2026 Polaris Star Award “Agents for Change” in law enforcement.
