Marlon Cole is a law enforcement professional with 10 yrs + experience in criminal investigations, public safety, and interagency collaboration. He serves as a Deputy Sheriff, Detective, and Criminal Investigator with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office in Birmingham, Alabama, and is also a Task Force Officer (TFO) with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). His work focuses on protecting vulnerable populations, dismantling criminal networks, and advancing justice through detailed investigative efforts. Marlon has led and supported complex investigations involving human trafficking, child exploitation, sexual assault, drug trafficking, financial crimes, and money laundering. He has worked both domestic and transnational cases and has testified in state and federal proceedings. His investigative work includes open-source intelligence, surveillance, suspect identification, search warrants, victim interviews, and case preparation. He is a certified crisis and hostage negotiator. and an instructor, training law enforcement and partner organizations on human trafficking.
