Misinformation about human trafficking is pervasive and quality research is hard to find. Researcher Amelia Rubenstein of University of Maryland explores how to engage in data-driven and evidence-based anti-trafficking advocacy. This workshop will analyze the current evidence base of our field and explore the accuracy of commonly cited statistics. Participants will practice evaluating research for validity and reliability and develop strategies for creating well-supported and accurate messaging.
