Description

(CLOSED WORKSHOP - LAW ENFORCEMENT ONLY) In collaboration with BBDO, 100 Volunteers from Microsoft Hack for Good initiative, and law enforcement agencies, we developed a game-changing technology to deter the online exploitation of children. This is a Smart, Scalable Solution to Reducing Demand and Preventing the Exploitation of Children. After identifying potential buyers, TI communicates with these individuals using an artificial intelligence chatbot named Gracie. Developed using predator and victim transcripts from ongoing investigations, text chats from students at local universities, and guidance from the CDC, Gracie has the ability to disrupt tens of thousands of conversations using one of hundreds of different adolescent personas. Once the intent to purchase is confirmed, TI communicates a powerful warning message and informs potential buyers that their information, including the chat conversation, has been stored in a local law enforcement’s permanent file. Later, TI sends links to trauma and therapy resources to buyers to aid them in taking the first step in receiving help. Augmented intelligence best describes the Street Grace initiative: The Transaction Intercept (TI) program is engineered to identify and pursue the buyers of commercial sex while eroding their notion of anonymity. Using the artificial intelligence chatbot named Gracie, patrols can run 24/7 during a designated period of time exposing buyers, and capturing key information that allows the bot to determine their risk level and create reports for law enforcement to determine follow-up. At any time, the AI/ Human Interface aspect of the program allows users to take over the conversation from Gracie and further establish the buyer’s intent such as purchase of a minor, a girl/boy/trans, or adult. When the intent to purchase a minor is confirmed, Gracie communicates the risks and consequences of their actions to the potential buyer.
