Chairlady Debra Moody, General Assembly
Commissioner Margie Quin, Tennessee Department of Children's Services
Tennessee law makers, NGO partners, survivors and law enforcement all worked together for over a decade to drive changes in laws and policy. Tennessee remained Shared Hope's number one state year-over-year by going back to the "well" - collaboration and relationship building to improve outcomes for survivors. Join us for a panel discussion featuring a TN lawmaker, NGO partner and a law enforcement official (who is now the DCS Commissioner), who were there from the beginning as they break down how they have kept the train moving. Tennessee first achieved the number one ranking through Shared Hope's rubric in 2014, and got it back again with the passage of a large Omnibus filed by the Governor last year - we'll break down that bill and all it's ramifications, along with other key legislative wins through the years. Come have a listen and we will share our secret winning sauce!
