With a passion for justice and victim rights, Jamie Sokolis has made it her mission to support victims of domestic violence and sexual violence. As the Human Trafficking Coordinator for the University of Maryland Medical System's Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Center at Capital Region, she is using her expertise to be a force for change, empowering victims and raising awareness about human trafficking in the community. As the Human Trafficking Coordinator, Jamie is responsible for creating and implementing new initiatives within the hospital setting to improve identification of human trafficking victims. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from York College of PA and Master’s Degree from the University of Baltimore in Criminal Justice and Victim Studies.
