Dawn Scaff is the Pediatric Forensic Nurse Examiner Supervisor at the Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters Child Advocacy Center. She has worked at the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters for 23 years and at the Child Advocacy Center for 17 years, providing sexual assault nursing exams to pediatric patients. She is the supervisor of a team of on-call nurses and has provided hundreds of SANE exams both acute and non-acute in her career. She is a qualified expert in pediatric SANE exams, testifying regularly in child abuse cases. Dawn is the medical member of the CAC CSEC Team. In this role, she regularly provides education to multidisciplinary team members (CPS, Attorneys, and Law Enforcement both local and federal) regarding pediatric sexual assault and Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) in the Hampton Roads community.
