Sandy Middleton, Executive Director of Mississippi Center for Violence Prevention since 2005, is married to Fred Middleton, and together, they have four grown children and their spouses and six beautiful grandchildren. Sandy received her B.A. in English Language and Literature from Millsaps College and her Master’s in Public Policy and Administration from Mississippi State University. Her background is political and non-profit development and consulting. Sandy has served as Board Member and Legislative Director for the MS Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Vice-President for Mississippians Against Human Trafficking, and she works to pass legislation to improve victim safety and to hold offenders accountable. Middleton also serves as a board member for the Attorney General’s Human Trafficking Fund. Middleton has served as Chair and Vice-Chair of Mississippi’s Domestic Violence Task Force. Middleton also chaired the Victims Services Committee on Governor Bryant’s Human Trafficking Task Force and is a Certified Rapid Response Human Trafficking Advocate through the MS Attorney General’s office. She was honored to accept the FBI Community Service Award for The Center.
