The Predatory Grooming Trifecta© illustrates John-Michael Lander’s personal story of being sexually trafficked as an elite athlete. The predator grooms the institution first, parents/guardians second, and then the child, which allows the predator to build trusting relationships, create a protective shield, and go undetected for years. This can shed light as to why US Gymnastics, OSU, MSU, PSU, Olympics Sports, Religious Organizations, Boy Scouts of America, etc.
