Bradel Canfield is a nationally recognized leader in the anti-human trafficking movement, known for her expertise in trauma-informed, survivor-centered care. With lived experience and deep commitment to ethical practice, she consults nationwide to strengthen services for survivors. She began teaching yoga to girls who experienced exploitation, later serving as a nonprofit Program Manager and educator for law enforcement, service providers, and national audiences. In 2021, she co-authored a peer-reviewed article on survivor experiences in service organizations, advancing calls for Survivor-Led models. Today, Bradel is Deputy Program Manager for the U.S. Department of State’s Human Trafficking Expert Consultant Network at McColm & Company and continues consulting to promote authentic survivor leadership as the standard.
