April Casillas is a nationally recognized survivor leader and founder of Keeping Every Girl Free, a Southern California nonprofit rooted in trauma-informed care and restorative justice. Drawing from lived experience, April equips frontline professionals—including law enforcement and service providers—with survivor-informed tools to identify trafficking and respond with dignity and care.

As a certified Roadmaps Facilitator in partnership with the Oregon Department of Justice, April trains agencies across the country to build trauma-responsive systems and create pathways to healing. She collaborates with the Department of Transportation to support survivor relocation efforts, and works closely with diversion programs like Free 2B Me to provide mentorship and wraparound services for individuals impacted by exploitation, trafficking, and domestic abuse.

April’s leadership bridges systems and survivors—offering hope, restoration, and a model for survivor-led transformation.
