1 in 7 people ages 72+ in the United States are showing signs of cognitive impairment. Donors in this age group constitute the majority of charitable giving, and it is inevitable that advancement staff in your organization will encounter elderly donors in cognitive decline. Are you prepared for this scenario? This session will teach attendees about the prevalence of cognitive impairment in our older donor population, how to identify the top ten signs of cognitive impairment, and how to apply a core set of best practices that they can use when encountering an older donor showing signs of cognitive decline.
