Jeff Jowdy is president and founder of Lighthouse Counsel. The firm has offices in Athens, GA and Franklin, TN and serves nonprofits nationwide in fundraising, strategic planning, board development and leadership development.

He has more than 35 years of nonprofit leadership experience as a CEO, advancement professional, human resources professional and consultant.

He serves on Troy University’s Sorrell College of Business Executive Advisory Council and the board of Musicians On Call. Jeff is also a board member of The Giving Institute and serves on the Association for Fundraising Professionals U.S. Foundation for Philanthropy Fundraising Board.

He sits on the NonProfit PRO Editorial Advisory Board and authors the popular Bedrocks & Beacons blog. Jeff is an AFP Master Trainer. He is past chair of the Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity National Foundation and former chair of The Board of Trust for the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia, where he received his bachelor’s degree. His master’s degree is from Troy University.
