Speaker Bio
Lan Ha is a Graduate Research Assistant at the MIT Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research. Her current project studies the impacts of behavioral interventions on sustainability and energy consumption reduction. Lan is interested in combining machine learning techniques and econometrics to tackle environmental and energy issues. She is pursuing a master’s degree in the Technology and Policy Program.

Prior to MIT, Lan spent three years at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, where she contributed to research on assessing funding inequality among Connecticut school districts, predicting state tax revenue losses due to COVID-19, and analyzing tax-setting behaviors among Massachusetts municipalities. She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics (magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa) from Mount Holyoke College.
