Jason Block, Principal Mechanical Engineer at Cadence OneFive, has spent the last 15 years working to improve the efficiency, health, and quality of multifamily housing in and around the NYC metro area. He joined Cadence OneFive last year to leverage his boots-on-the-ground experience into a more scalable and transparent approach to helping us move towards a more efficient, decarbonized, and just housing system. Jason was previously a Director at Steven Winter Associates, leading a team of engineers and consultants, and overseeing their work on a range of projects, including benchmarking, energy audits, retrofit designs, workforce development and training, and research. He has also contributed to citywide policy efforts, such as the NYC Mechanical Code Committee, NYC LL87 rule updates working group, and building performance standard policy analyses in Washington, DC and Montgomery County, MD.
