Vicky Basra has worked hard to impact positive changes in the areas of violence against women, teen issues, prevention programs and professional advocacy. Vicky has over 20 years of non-profit leadership experience with expertise in counseling, group therapy, facilitating professional trainings/workshops, community building, and program development. Presently, she is the President/CEO at the Delores Barr Weaver Policy Center (the voice for girls). The Policy Center provides advocacy, research, training/technical assistance and direct services to girls and young women in or at risk of becoming involved in the juvenile justice and child welfare systems in Northeast Florida. Vicky attained her Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Toronto, Canada, her Bachelor in Social Work at Ryerson Polytechnic University, Canada and her Masters in Social Work at the University of Tennessee.
