Description

In recent years, federal law has reshaped the way child welfare agencies approach services to children and youth who have experienced human trafficking, including emphases on youth choice and services to support children without removal into care. This panel discussion, led by the Steering Committee of the National Child Welfare Anti-Trafficking Collaborative, will provide a quick overview of federal guidelines and highlight innovative partnerships and community-based services that support children in remaining in the community and accessing services based on their identified needs and wants. The panel will reserve time for discussion with participants to support a broader information exchange.
