This workshop is designed to provide an overview of the legal barriers Survivors of commercial sexual exploitation and human trafficking face when exiting the sex trade and examine said barriers through a lens of cumulative harms. The workshop will discuss myths surrounding legal issues affecting Survivors and will offer a framework for understanding the impact legal issues have on successfully exiting. It will also identify and discuss mechanisms for restorative and preventative justice.
