The purpose of this presentation is to provide discussion of the unique and challenging medical needs that minor victims experience. In this lecture, substance use and mental health crises in the pediatric healthcare setting will be highlighted to provide insight into trauma informed interventions that best support the child. Additionally, the value of collaboration among all of the disciplines to ensure wrap around services will be discussed.
