Kate Walker Brown is an attorney and Senior Director at the National Center for Youth Law. With over 15 years of experience, she specializes in combating the commercial sexual exploitation of children and youth with a focus on transforming legal systems, ending the criminalization of young victims, and developing community-based alternatives to meeting the needs of youth and families. As co-chair of California's CSEC Action Team and advisor to national efforts like the National Center on Child Trafficking, Kate collaborates with survivors and community partners to drive systemic change, including supporting a statewide advisory board of lived experience experts in California. She holds a law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law and a bachelor's from Pomona College
