Assistant U.S. Attorney Kevin Rapp is a career prosecutor and has been at the US Attorney’s Office, District of Arizona, for nearly 30 years. From 1991-1996 he served as a Maricopa Deputy County Attorney prosecuting sex crimes. During his tenure at the USAO, he has held management positions including Chief of the Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Task Force and as Senior Litigation Counsel. He has twice received the Director’s Award for Superior Performance as an AUSA from the U.S. Attorney General for successfully prosecuting complex mortgage and investment fraud cases. Since 2016, he has been an adjunct professor of law at the Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor School of Law teaching trial advocacy and white-collar fraud. He was the lead prosecutor in the investigation and prosecution of the owners and operators of Backpage.com.
