Human Trafficking training is essential for police agencies of all sizes. This class will focus on the various technique’s perpetrators of human sex trafficking and child exploitation use to find, contact, and groom victims on social media. During the training, current social media sites and messaging applications where victims are being recruited will be identified. Various methods that traffickers and predators use to find their future victims will be discussed and analyzed. Participants will learn how to create undercover social media platforms to engage offenders of these crimes. Through various chatting techniques, students of the class will learn the legal frameworks of the investigations and how to build a successful criminal case against these perpetrators. Participants of this course will learn valuable information and investigative techniques that are applicable to large, mid-size, or small police agencies.
