Dr. Christina (Tina) Valila is the Program Director at My Life My Choice, an anti-trafficking nonprofit organization based in Massachusetts. For the past 11 years, Tina has helped lead the program to grow to serve more than 220 young people in Massachusetts each year and worked alongside a team of survivors and allies to provide a continuum of services. Her prior work included work with adult males in the prison system, returning citizens, individuals in substance use treatment programs, and people living with an HIV or AIDS diagnosis. She is an independently licensed clinical social worker and has a private therapy practice specializing in people with active substance use disorders and commercial sexual exploitation (CSE) and trafficking. She holds a master’s degree from Boston University and a Doctorate in Social Work from Simmons University.
