Sylvia is a mother of a trafficking survivor and serves as Los Angeles County’s first Parent Advocate with ZOE International, coaching parents on trauma-informed strategies and facilitating Parent Empowerment workshops. She also works with Special Operations Finding Kids in Northern California, supporting families of at-risk or exploited youth and co-facilitating Spanish Parent Support Groups. Sylvia speaks publicly on trafficking prevention and is credentialed through the National Advocate Credentialing Program. She also partners with the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services through the Parents in Partnership (PIP) program, using her lived experience to empower families navigating the child welfare system.
