As Director of Policy Strategy, Sarah oversees the design and execution of new initiatives that strengthen engagement with stakeholders and develop state and federal legislative priorities that are survivor-centered and field-informed. Sarah focused her efforts and research on strengthening state and community responses to youth impacted by exploitation, advancing practices that appropriately address and most ideally prevent trafficking amongst children and youth. She is passionate about uplifting solutions that eliminate vulnerabilities and achieve sustainable wellbeing for young people, their families, and communities.
Previously Sarah worked with several NGOs in Kenya, Senegal, Zambia, and the U.S., advocating for stronger legal protections and responses for survivors of all forms of sexual and gender-based violence. Sarah earned her undergraduate degree from Webster University (St. Louis, USA; Hua Hin, Thailand) and her law degree from DePaul University College of Law (Chicago).
