In my presentation, I will take the audience through the important steps of preparing for the Live Auction and Call to Heart beginning when you first start working on the event. It is designed to give tips to those that are doing their first event and those that have been in the event/development industry for years.
- Starting the Process (what type of event and is it beneficial to have a Live Auction and/or Call to Heart?)
- The Value of Hiring A Professional and Choosing the Right Auctioneer
- Structuring Your Program (Everything that happens before your Live Auction and Call to Heart is going to affect your fundraising aspect)
- What You Should Ask/Expect from Your Auctioneer
- Live Auction: This is more than just “Get good items”. What types of items should you have? Do they align with the type of audience you have? What are the pros/cons of Consignment items? What role should your auctioneer play in the order and the types of items?
- Call to Heart: How you conduct your Mission Moment is one of the most important parts of your event
- Misc: Spotters, Bid Cards, Extra fundraising aspects of your event, etc.
